Website Optimization – Web Development and Graphic Design Best Practices to Maximize Conversion Rates

Friday, March 5th, 2010

The topics of conversion optimization and website usability are quickly gaining more popularity in the “online world” as website owners continue to look for competitive advantages. Conversion optimization and website usability span a range of topics including web design, graphic design, statistics, human psychology, persuasive copyrighting, as well as a variety of marketing subjects.

Understanding and specifically addressing the needs, questions and fears of your website’s visitors are critical to keeping them engaged and ultimately converting them into customers. Looking beyond demographics and investigating how basic human conditioning impacts your visitors’ experience is the key to higher conversion rates.

Todd Barrs from SpyGlass, LLC will discuss a variety of conversion techniques and provide specific examples that are proven to increase landing page and website conversion rates.

You will learn:

  • How to increase conversion rates with more persuasive web pages.
  • Which web page elements have shown to increase conversion rates, and why they are so important to the conversion process.
  • How to develop successful conversion strategies for your clients.
  • The most common behavioral traits that visitors display when interacting with websites.

What Do Photographers Need To Retain Their Copyright?

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Simply put, it’s how we make our living and it gives us protection as well as our client’s protection. Without the copyright, other companies can come in and steal images or worse, the images can be used by our competitors.  Copyright is vital to major advertising for exclusivity, and how our competitors have rights to images.  Also, learn the process of licensing images for commissioned work and stock photography will be explained and why use istock when there are plenty of local photographers to choose from to give you stock images.  Plus much more!!!

Online Marketing Strategies On A Shoestring Budget

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Cherish Flieder, Natalie Marlett and Arif Gangji will be among a panel,

teaching online marketing strategies including how to socially market a business on

a shoestring budget. This is a special event organized by the Design to Print

Denver Media Group and the Colorado Alliance of Illustrators.

The audience will gain strategies, tactics, tools and tips to optimize their social media

marketing efforts in conjunction with their website. Social media marketing, just like a

website, can be so much more than just an online brochure. Optimizing their social media

correctly, using free and low-cost tools and strategies, website owners can dominate the

first page of search engine results. This is extremely important because if businesses

are not on the first page of search results, they do not exist on the Internet.

These strategies will insert them in the optimal phase of their target consumers’

searches and will drive more qualified, buying traffic to their site.“
